{ This is not a need. I wont go without or experience depravation, if I didnt buy them. If I don’t buy any clothes for a year or two, I will be alright. This is a want. I acknowledge it. As long as my purchases are with in the bounds of the discipline I am trying to impart in myself, I will cherish what I choose to add to my closet. Teaching myself something new, even if its behavior, is exciting. There is ambition, hope, promise and technique to master. There is a budget. Am I pacing myself alright ? Am I thinking well ? Am I choosing well ? Am I rewiring my circuits slowly ? Am I handling the initial agitation period when ambition outpaces skill, properly ? The beginnings are the best part. }

The shape of pants and the fabric composition is what attracted me. TRR had it listed at 1/3rd the price as ApieceApart when brand new. A pinkish tan version exists that was the original garment of desire. Black won, after some calculations on pragmatism. Once I tried them on, the pants won. When a garment in natural fabrics is too comfortable, I wonder if it looks sloppy and if it will age poorly. Assuming it does look very casual, will I continue to wear it ? I want to say yes. Only time will tell. These pants will be declared a good purchase only after they hit 100+ wears. Not a day prior. Wear is the only indicator I will accept at this point. No pats on the back for me if I wear them “all the time” right after I buy them. No self applause if I own them for a long time without hitting those 100 wears. Every new garment subtracts wear from existing garments that we once promised to wear till they fall apart. I would like to wear a pair of oversized light blue denim less in favor of these. I would like to put away the denim for the summer and build a small linen capsule. Two over sized shirts, a cardigan shirt of sorts, spa pants, a trench and a sleeveless top populates the linen capsule. These pants will do nicely with the cohort. Let the wears begin.
Update : I got the pink version too.
I went to look at my Airtable to see how many of my clothes have been worn 100 times, and the answer was five, and four of them are shoes, haha. To be fair, I only started clocking my wears at the end of 2020, so I have older items that I have no data for. I'm happy that I get so much wear out of my shoes though...I have a pair of Birkenstocks that I bought in 2021 and they're at over 220 wears.
The Apiece Apart pants look great! If I were building a trouser collection from scratch, I would definitely scoop those up. Hope you get good wear out of them!
I think I own this same exact pair and I love them!!! I rented them via Rent the Runway and ended up purchasing at discounted price after I’d worn them over 30 times, according to Stylebook
